Dave Matthews talks about the war in Gaza in many of his shows.
His comments are mostly one-sided, sympathizing with the pain of one side for the most part... He didn't say anything after October 7th, it took him months to say anything about the hostages, he criticizes Israel but not Hamas, the great fighter for women's rights didn't say a word about the sexual assaults of Hamas...
He claims to be a pacifist, but to me it feels like this pacifism is very selective...
Since I was such a big fan of his I can say unequivocally: he broke my heart. no less.
Since it took him so long to say anything about the hostages, my amazing friend Angie Haze and I took a song of his and changed the words to the stories of the hostages.

Sahar Kalderon is a teenage girl of only 16
just one of 30 children taken October 7, 2023.
Avigail is 3 remember She’s just a little kid
Both her parents gone forever
Gravedigger, when you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain?
Gravedigger
Shiri Bibas a mother taken at the age of 34
with both of her babies Kfir 10 months and Ariel 4
Now you should never have to wonder
if your only children are lowered in the ground
I mean, Never have to bury your own babies
Gravedigger, when you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain?
Gravedigger
Ring around the rosie
pocket full of posies
ashes to ashes
Bring them home
Gravedigger, when you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain?
Gravedigger
Can you hear them crying Aviv 2 and Amelia 5
under the ground with the devil
Are they still alive?
When they grow up they want to be
Safe and sound at home with their family
Yuval, Oria, Raz, Ella, Emma & Yuli, Eitan, Erez, Noam, Ohad, Ofri,
Gravedigger, when you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain?
Gravedigger, when you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain, I can feel the rain, I can feel the rain?
Gravedigger
Gravedigger, when you dig my grave
Could you make it shallow
So that I can feel the rain?
Gravedigger
